I researched many popular style magazine such as Vogue, Tatler, Vanity Fair, and Harper’s Bazaar to see what subtopics they categorise their stories into. Some of these incuded:
- Fashion
- Beauty
- Wellness
- Featured
- Jewellery
- Makeup
- Celebrity
- Regulars
After carrying out research to determine what content my target audience was interested in, I have decided that the sub-categories of my magazine contents will be:
- High Fashion/Designers
- Fashion
- Beauty and wellness
- Featured
- Jewellery
The High Fashion category will include interviews with fashion designers, updates on latest collections, and runway content.
The fashion category will include trends, style tips, street style, and shopping
The beauty and wellness category will include skincare, makeup, haircare, and wellness tips.
The featured category will include celebrity interviews, pop culture, and any stories that don’t fit into the other categories
The jewellery category will include jewellery trends, latest collections, and styling tips.
I will be publishing the January and February 2026 editions of Atelier magazine. Both of these are winter months, which will need to be reflected in areas such as winter fashion or ensuring I talk about the SS26 collections of runway fashion. January is the first month of the year, and many people are interested in fresh starts, New Year’s resolutions, and self improvement at this time of the year. This could be particularly useful for categories such as beauty and wellness, as I could create content on things such as wellness tips for the New Year. For my February edition, I could create some content around Valentine’s Day, perhaps I could do a featured article on celebrity couples.
